Privacy Policy

Sky Follower Bridge (hereinafter referred to as “this extension”) is a browser extension developed to enable users to utilize functions such as following or blocking on Bluesky through its API. In providing this extension, we (hereinafter referred to as “we” or “our company”) recognize the importance of appropriately handling and protecting users’ personal information. This policy sets forth how personal data is handled in this extension, in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

1. Operator Information

For questions or inquiries about this Privacy Policy or the handling of personal data, please contact us at the email address listed above.

2. Types of Data Collected and Methods of Collection

This extension handles the following personal data:

  • Bluesky Login ID and Password
    • When users utilize the Bluesky API through this extension, they enter their Login ID and Password.
    • However, these credentials are not stored on our server and are only processed within the user’s browser (Local Storage).

Children’s Personal Data

This extension is intended for use by all users, including those under the age of 16. There are no special age restrictions. If a user under the age of 16 uses this extension, we request that consent and permission be obtained from a parent or legal guardian.

Purpose of Use

  • Provision of Functions Using the Bluesky API
    • Users enter their login credentials so this extension can interact with Bluesky, enabling them to follow or block other accounts, among other features.
  • Consent (GDPR Article 6(1)(a))
    • In using this extension, if the user voluntarily provides login information and agrees to this Privacy Policy, we will process the login information based on the user’s consent.

Voluntary Provision of Personal Data

  • Providing login information for this extension is entirely at the user’s discretion. However, if login information is not provided, features such as following or blocking via the Bluesky API cannot be used.

4. Third-Party Provision and Use of External Services

  • We do not provide personal data obtained through this extension to any third parties.
  • We do not use Google Analytics or other analytics tools or cloud services, and no data is transmitted to external services.

5. Data Retention Period

  • Storage in the Browser’s Local Storage

    • Only the Login ID is stored in the user’s browser Local Storage.
    • It remains stored until the user explicitly deletes it.
    • We do not store any data on our servers.
  • Data Deletion Method

    • Users may delete the Login ID by uninstalling this extension or manually deleting it from the browser’s Local Storage.

6. User Rights

Under GDPR, users have the following rights:

  1. Right of Access: The right to request access to their personal data.
  2. Right to Rectification: The right to request the correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal data.
  3. Right to Erasure (Right to be Forgotten): The right to request the erasure of personal data.
  4. Right to Restrict Processing: The right to request the restriction of processing of personal data.
  5. Right to Data Portability: The right to receive their personal data in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format, or to request the transfer of that data to another controller.
  6. Right to Object: The right to object to processing based on legitimate interests.
  7. Right to Withdraw Consent: The right to withdraw consent at any time (this does not affect the lawfulness of processing before the withdrawal).

Since this extension only stores personal data (Login ID) in the user’s browser, users can exercise the right to erasure in practice by uninstalling the extension or manually deleting the data from Local Storage. Because this data is not saved on our servers, there is no need to contact us directly for deletion, but if you have any questions, please reach out to us at the contact details below.

Automated Decision-Making (Profiling)

We do not perform automated decision-making or profiling using users’ personal data.

Right to Lodge a Complaint with a Supervisory Authority

If you reside in an EU or EEA member state, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Authority (DPA) of the country in which you reside regarding our processing of personal data.

7. International Data Transfers

We do not transfer users’ personal data outside the European Economic Area (EEA). Additionally, we do not store personal data on our servers, so there is no transfer of data outside the EEA.

8. Data Security Measures

  • We do not store personal data on our servers; thus, there is no risk of data breach on the server side.
  • We implement appropriate security measures regarding the handling of login information within this extension. However, it is the user’s responsibility to manage and protect data stored in the browser’s Local Storage.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may make changes to the content of this Privacy Policy. If significant changes occur, we will notify users through update information for this extension or via a method we publicly disclose. The revised policy will apply to the latest version of this extension.
